Who We Are

Lokazen is a commercial real estate matchmaking platform operated as a unit of N & G Ventures, based in Bengaluru, India. References to "we", "us", or "Lokazen" in this policy refer to that entity. We are the data fiduciary for personal information processed through the Lokazen website and platform.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide to us, information generated when you use the platform, and information from third-party sources we work with.

Information You Provide

  • Brand & property accounts: name, email, phone, company name, business registration details, tax identification numbers, property details (location, size, amenities, rent, photos, documents), space requirements (size, budget, locations, business type).
  • Scout accounts: name, phone, area, UPI ID, and information required to verify your identity (see "Identity Verification" below).
  • Communications: messages exchanged through the platform, support requests, feedback, and survey responses.

Information Generated by Use

  • Usage data: pages viewed, properties shortlisted, matches surfaced, in-app actions, and timestamps.
  • Device & technical data: IP address, device type, browser, operating system, referrer, and cookie identifiers (see our Cookies Policy).
  • Location data: approximate location derived from IP, and (only with your permission) precise location when you submit a property through the Scout app surface.

Information from Third Parties

  • Identity verification results from our third-party KYC partner (for Scouts).
  • Transaction status from payment service providers (for brand payments and Scout payouts).
  • Publicly available business information, mapping & place data, and footfall signals used to enrich our property and brand records.
  • Business partners and referral sources who introduce you to Lokazen.

Identity Verification (KYC) for Scouts

Scouts must complete a one-time identity check before any payout is released. This check is performed by an independent third-party KYC partner that specialises in digital identity verification. During the check, the partner may collect a government ID document, a live selfie image, and basic identity attributes such as name and date of birth.

The KYC partner processes that information as a data processor on our behalf and shares the verification outcome (verified / not verified) and a minimal set of attributes (such as your name and the last few characters of your document number) back to us. We do not store the full ID document image or the raw selfie in our systems.

By starting the KYC flow you consent to this processing. You may decline; in that case you will be unable to receive payouts but you may still use the platform in a non-Scout capacity.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the platform, including matching brands with properties using automated, algorithmic scoring.
  • To verify the identity of Scouts and process Scout payouts.
  • To process payments and bill for our services.
  • To send transactional, service, promotional, and marketing communications via email, SMS, WhatsApp, in-app notification, and phone call — including match notifications, account activity, KYC status, payout confirmations, promotional offers, and platform updates. These communications are integral to the service (see "Condition of Use — No Granular Opt-Out" below).
  • To improve the platform, train our internal matching and ranking models on de-identified or aggregated data, and develop new features.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to enforce our Terms.
  • To comply with applicable laws, court orders, and regulatory requirements.

Third-Party Services We Use (Named Disclosures)

We rely on third-party service providers to operate the platform. Most of them are disclosed by category in the sections above. The three named below are disclosed specifically because those providers' own terms require us to identify them in this policy.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity, a behavioural-analytics and session-replay service operated by Microsoft. Clarity captures how visitors interact with our website — including mouse movements, scrolls, clicks, page visits, device metadata, and IP address — and produces heatmaps and session recordings that help us diagnose usability problems and improve the platform. Clarity does not track you across other websites and does not identify you personally. For details, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta)

We use the WhatsApp Business Platform, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc., to send transactional and service messages to brands, property owners, and Scouts — including match notifications, account activity, KYC status, payout confirmations, and promotional updates. When you share your phone number with us, you accept that Lokazen may send you WhatsApp messages via this platform, subject to Meta's own terms and privacy notice.

Google Maps Platform

We embed Google Maps and use the Google Maps Platform to display commercial properties, mark locations, calculate distances, and enrich property records. Your interaction with the embedded map, and any location or place data resolved via the Google Maps Platform, is governed by the Google Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the categories of recipients listed below, and only to the extent necessary for the purposes described.

  • Other users: brand and property information may be shared with potential matches as part of our matchmaking service.
  • Service providers: cloud hosting and database providers, transactional email and messaging providers, our KYC partner, payment service providers, mapping and analytics providers, and customer-support tools. These providers process data on our behalf under written contracts.
  • Professional advisers: lawyers, auditors, and tax advisers, where necessary.
  • Acquirers or successors: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred subject to standard confidentiality protections.
  • Authorities: when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes set out above, or as required by law:

  • Account data: for as long as the account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to handle disputes and meet legal obligations.
  • Transaction records: for the period required under Indian tax and accounting laws (typically 8 years).
  • KYC outcome & minimal attributes: for as long as required by applicable anti-fraud and audit obligations.
  • Communication records: for as long as the account is active and for a reasonable period after closure, to demonstrate compliance and handle disputes.

Artificial Intelligence & Automated Decision-Making

Lokazen uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to power matching, ranking, scoring, verification, content generation, and platform assistance. This section describes what those systems do with your data and the rights you retain.

Where AI is Used

  • Matching & ranking: our internal Brand-Fit and property-fit scoring systems produce match scores, shortlists, and rankings from data you provide (requirements, budget, size, category) and data we hold about properties.
  • Scout submission verification: automated checks assist human reviewers in evaluating Scout submissions before payout.
  • Content generation & assistance: AI service providers are used to generate or assist with blog copy, marketing materials, imagery, video, voice, chat responses, and internal summaries.
  • Location and market intelligence: AI models are used to enrich, categorise, and rank commercial locations from public and platform data.

Data Sent to Third-Party AI Providers

Where we use third-party AI providers, they process data as data processors under written contract and only on our instructions. Under our arrangements with these providers:

  • Your personal information is not used to train the provider's base models unless we have expressly agreed to it separately.
  • We do not share direct identifiers such as ID document numbers, KYC selfies, or full financial account numbers with generative-AI providers.
  • We use minimum-necessary data for the intended function (matching, enrichment, content, verification).

We may use anonymised or aggregated data derived from platform activity to train, refine, and evaluate our own internal matching, scoring, and ranking models.

Cross-Border AI Processing

Certain AI service providers we use process data on servers located outside India (typically in the United States or the European Union). By using the platform, you accept that limited categories of your data may be processed cross-border for the purposes described above, subject to written contractual safeguards and to any restrictions notified by the Central Government under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Right to Human Review of Automated Decisions

Where an automated match, score, ranking, verification, or eligibility outcome produced by our systems materially and adversely affects you — for example, a Scout submission is rejected, a brand is filtered out of a shortlist, or a property is deprioritised in a ranking — you may request human review by writing to support@lokazen.in with the subject line "Automated Decision Review". Include the account, submission ID, and a short description of the outcome you are contesting.

We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and provide a final response within 15 working days. Human review does not guarantee a different outcome; it guarantees that a human has looked at your case.

AI-Generated Content Labelling

Where Lokazen publishes content that is generated or materially modified by AI — including imagery, video, audio, blog copy, and social-media content — we label or otherwise identify such content as AI-generated in accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 as amended. Absence of a specific label does not, by itself, imply that the content is human-authored.

Condition of Use — No Granular Opt-Out

Use of the Lokazen platform is on an all-or-nothing basis.

The processing activities described in this Privacy Policy — including automated matching, transactional and marketing communications via email, SMS, WhatsApp, in-app notification and phone, session-replay analytics, conversion measurement, third-party sharing with the service providers listed above, and use of the platform for the purposes described — are integral to the Lokazen service and are treated by Lokazen as necessary for the performance of the contract between you and Lokazen (Section 7, Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023).

Lokazen does not offer a cookie-preferences banner, a per-channel or per-topic communication opt-out, a marketing-only unsubscribe link, a partial-use option, or any other granular consent-management mechanism. Acceptance of this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions is a mandatory, bundled, and non-severable condition of using the platform.

If you do not accept, you must not use, and are not permitted to use, the Lokazen platform. The only way to stop the processing described in this policy is to stop using the platform and, where an account exists, request account closure as described below.

Your Statutory Rights

Subject to applicable law, and notwithstanding the "Condition of Use" section above, you retain the statutory rights granted to you under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and related Indian regulation:

  • Right to access the personal information Lokazen holds about you.
  • Right to correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.
  • Right to data portability — on written request, we will provide a copy of the personal information you have provided in a commonly used, structured, machine-readable format, to the extent technically feasible.
  • Right to erasure / account closure, subject to legal, tax, anti-fraud, and audit retention obligations described above. Closing your account is the mechanism to stop ongoing processing; Lokazen does not offer partial deletion of active accounts.
  • Right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Right to human review of automated decisions as described in the "Artificial Intelligence & Automated Decision-Making" section above.
  • Right to grievance redressal through our Grievance Officer (see below and our Grievance Redressal policy).
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request and may decline requests that conflict with our legal retention obligations or the rights of other users.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include transport-layer encryption, restricted access controls, and routine review of our processing arrangements. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

International Transfers

Some of the service providers we use may store or process data on servers located outside India. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the processing is subject to appropriate safeguards, including written contractual protections.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. The "last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was most recently revised.

Gig Workers — Connectors & Scouts

This section describes the data we process for people who register for or work through our worker programmes (Connectors, Scouts and similar personnel), who are engaged on an independent-contractor, project basis (see the Terms & Conditions).

What we collect

  • Identity and contact details (name, phone number) and KYC information you provide to verify your identity and eligibility.
  • Payment details (such as your UPI ID) needed to pay task fees.
  • Screening data — the audio, transcript and structured assessment of your AI screening call (for example, availability, experience and communication).
  • Task and performance data — the tasks you accept, your submissions and step updates, notes, and outcomes.
  • Call records — calls placed through our business line for assigned tasks may be recorded and transcribed for quality, training, safety and compliance.
  • Device, log and, for field Scouts, location/GPS and photo data submitted as part of a task.

How we use it

To onboard and verify you, screen for role fit, assign and verify tasks, make payments, maintain quality and safety, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

Service providers we share it with

We use trusted processors to run these programmes, and share only the data needed for each: identity/OTP and KYC verification, AI voice screening, telephony for the masked business line, UPI payouts, and secure cloud hosting and storage. These providers process the data under their own terms and our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.

Data you handle on our behalf

When performing a task you may see personal data of customers or property owners. You access it only as a person authorised to process it on Lokazen's instructions, solely to complete the assigned task, and you must not retain, export, share or misuse it. Misuse may lead to termination and civil or criminal liability under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Retention

We keep worker data for as long as needed for your engagement and for payment, tax, accounting, compliance and dispute-resolution purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You may raise access, correction or deletion requests with our Grievance Officer below.
